Container Orchestration

cover image of Kubernetes book

Containers are an excellent way to scale for workloads of varying sizes. While I have played with Docker, I really wanted to get my feet wet with an actual automation and orchestration engine. Based on recommendations (thanks Leo!) I chose to look at Kubernetes. It’s a bit overwhelming to see how many things you can do with Kubernetes. What’s even better is that Manning Publications released an excellent book on Kubernetes this year. The content is amazing! I love that the author starts with the absolute basics and then builds on them with tons of pictures and examples. I’m working on reading through it now. Has anyone else read this book yet? Would love to hear your thoughts.

For more information, you can check out the Kubernetes site at: https://kubernetes.io/

And of course, check out Kubernetes in Action from Manning Publications!
